Amy’s role is to communicate CLES’ pioneering work to the outside world. Alongside developing external relationships and strategic communications for CLES and key partners, Amy manages CLES’ digital platforms, press and publications, design and brand. She is CLES’ first Policy and External Affairs Manager and works on a part-time basis.
Amy joined the organisation in October 2016. Here’s what she said when we asked her, ‘Why did you choose CLES?’.
‘At a time of increasing uncertainty, CLES stood out as a pioneering organisation with both the courage to challenge established – but failing – norms and the experience to offer coherent, proven and socially just alternatives. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that cares about and believes in the work it does. It is especially motivating to see how that work genuinely benefits people and place; is imaginative but informed by on the ground experience; and, seeks to create a space for, listen to and amplify diverse voices that too often go unheard.’
