Caroline Wilson

Trustee

“I’m excited to join the CLES Board at such a pivotal time. I believe deeply in CLES’s role in shaping the national conversation on poverty, inequality, and economic justice – with a focus on the ‘doing’ as much as the ‘thinking’. Throughout my career, I’ve worked to harness the power of local government to practically ‘tilt the playing field’ – creating fairer, more inclusive places. I’m thrilled to bring that commitment to CLES’s vital mission.”

Caroline is Director of Inclusive Economy at London Borough of Islington, leading its pioneering work on social value, inclusive innovation, and economic justice. With a background in regeneration and conflict transformation in Belfast, she brings deep experience, commitment and creativity in leveraging partnerships and local government tools to drive change, for a more equal future.
