In my role as Researcher I deliver policy, research, membership and consultancy work for CLES. This can be through desk research and data analysis, conducting interviews and workshops, contributing to report writing and producing briefings for our members.
I also provide communications support to the External Affairs Manager around projects and CLES’ fortnightly newsletter.
Grace joined the organisation in October 2017. Here’s what she said when we asked her, ‘why did you choose CLES?’.
I wanted to work for CLES as they are an organisation with values that I believe in. It’s refreshing and inspiring to work at a place where everybody has a shared passion for progressive alternatives to the current failing system. I also like that CLES is a think and do tank, which means the major focus is about putting ideas into practice to deliver social and economic change, rather than simply producing policy documents that have no real-world outcomes.
