Engaging successfully with the commercial sector

6th April 2011, Manchester

This course explores how you can make the most of a positive relationship with the private sector and how to engage effectively.

In the context of Local Enterprise Partnerships, Regional Growth Fund and Big Society, local authorities and third sector organisations are being encouraged to look to the private sector for new ideas, investment and inspiration.  There is a long history of partnership working between the private, public and social sectors in the UK and at CLES, we think that the resilience of a place depends on good supportive network between all three sectors.  This course explores how you can make the most of a positive relationship with the private sector and how to engage effectively. The course examines the current policy on Local Enterprise Partnerships, Regional Growth Fund and Big Society and draws upon good practice in the UK from our research and our consultancy work
