Local Enterprise Partnerships – Unlocking Local Growth Conference
Wednesday 29th January 2014, Central London
Our National Local Enterprise Partnerships Conference comes in the wake of final submission deadlines for Strategic Economic Plans, as Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) prepare for the Local Growth Deal programme. The focus of the event will be the continuing prioritisation of localism as a driver of national economic expansion, as outlined in Lord Heseltine’s No Stone Unturned: In Pursuit of Growth Report. Evaluations of practical progress so far will come from The Heseltine Institute. In addition the conference will feature contributions from the author of The 39 LEP Chairs: Keeping the Stones Upturned and theConfederation of British Industry (CBI).
An agreed strategy for boosting regional economies has been firmly established, ensuring that progress on growth remains an objective shared between government and LEPs. With allocations from the New Homes Bonus soon to be decided, this timely event will detail how best to drive the process forward.
Topics covered at the conference include:
- Access to available funding streams and the associated responsibilities regardinggovernance structures and accountability
