Introducing the principles of Cost Benefit Analysis

This CLES learning event will introduce participants to the principles of cost-benefit analysis (CBA). CBA is a means of demonstrating the financial impact and effectiveness of a project or intervention to local economies and the State. The learning event will provide an overview of how a CBA is carried out and the strengths and weaknesses of using CBA in decision-making. Participants will learn how CBA fits within the HM Treasury’s green book approach to impact evaluation and explore key CBA concepts such as displacement and deadweight.
