LEPs: Balancing economic growth with tackling deprivation
CLES, NLGN and ippr north are hosting a series of events exploring aspects of enterprise partnerships.
This event taking place on 17th March in Leeds, starting at 12.30pm, is hosted by ippr north.
Speakers include: Sue Cooke, Employment and Skills Lead for the Leeds City Region Secretariat, who will share Leeds’ experience of coordinating employment and skills policy through its city regional Employment and Skills Board; Ratnam Makeswaran, Department for Work and Pensions Area Strategy Team will offer a national perspective; Ed Cox, Director of ippr north, will provide an overview of some of ippr north’s recent research and thinking on practical steps LEPs can take to tackle deprivation while growing the economy. There will also be opportunities for roundtable discussion.
