The LGA/ADPH annual public health conference and exhibition 2018: “Narrowing the health inequalities gap” takes place on 1 March 2018.

Join the LGA and ADPH at their most popular health conference of the year where they will explore how the serious health inequalities that still exist within our local communities are being addressed. This keynote annual event will feature a wealth of expert speakers, participatory workshop sessions and opportunities to network with speakers, delegates and exhibitors from across the realm of public health.

Steve Brine MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Primary Care will give the ministerial address. Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Chair of ukactive and Lord John Bird MBE, Founder of The Big Issue will be delivering the keynote addresses, setting out their visions to tackle health inequalities brought on by poverty and physical inactivity.

CLES CEO, Neil McInroy and Steve Pleasant MBE, Chief Executive, Tameside MBC will deliver a plenary session at 3:30pm on Health, work and social justice: tackling health related worklessness.
