Are you passionate about your community?

  • Do you currently live, work or provide services in Abram Ward – Abram, Bamfurlong, Bickershaw, Platt Bridge or Springview?
  • Do you have an idea that could help to improve your community and the lives of those that live there?
  • Have you considered turning this idea into a Community Business?
  • Abram Ward Community Cooperative have developed a new initiative – Made in Wigan, to offer help, guidance and possible financial support to exciting new business ideas that help to tackle issues within Abram Ward.
  • We are looking for Community Businesses to fund and support – let us know your ideas to be in with a chance of securing up to £2000 in seed funding – voted for by the residents of Abram Ward.

If your idea is aimed at one or more of the following, we would love to hear from you:

  1. Prevention or relief of poverty
  2. Advancement of citizenship or community development
  3. Advancement of arts, culture, heritage or science
  4. Advancement of amateur sport
  5. Promotion of religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity
  6. Advancement of environmental protection or improvement
  7. Relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
