Planning has a vital role to play in securing the long-term well-being of our communities through the delivery of sustainable development. It enables us to make efficient use of resources and infrastructure, offering multiple benefits to society, the environment and the economy.
The Town & Country Planning Association (TCPA) is supporting a cross-sector 18-month task force, chaired by its president, Rt Hon. Nick Raynsford, the highly respected former housing and planning minister. The Raynsford Review is an 18-month review set up to help make the planning system fairer, better resourced and capable of producing quality outcomes, while still encouraging the production of new homes.
