York Festival of Ideas

Piazza Building, University of York

CLES Chief Executive Neil McInroy is to take part in a panel ‘Building an Inclusive Economy: Where are the big ideas?’ at York Festival of Ideas.

The York Festival of Ideas was launched in June 2011 as a partnership between the University of York; York Theatre Royal; York Museums Trust; the National Centre for Early Music, and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Now in its eighth year, the Festival works in partnership with 96 organisations, both regionally and nationally, who share a passionate belief in the power of education and ideas to transform lives.

Through a number of free events for all ages and interests, including talks, performances and exhibitions, this year the festival will explore the theme ‘Imagining the Impossible.’
