European Week of Regions & Cities
The European Week of Regions and Cities will celebrate its 15th birthday when it returns to Brussels, this October, and CLES’ Deputy CEO, Matthew Jackson will be there to share exciting developments on our work across the EU.
From 9th-12th October, over 5000 practitioners will gather to learn about how their cities can address economic, social, cultural and environmental challenges. Matthew’s session ‘Addressing Urban and Regional Challenges through Public Procurement’ will be delivered as part of his role as a Lead Expert for the URBACT III Programme, where he is currently facilitating the Procure Network and is also an Advisor into the EU Urban Agenda Partnership on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement.
CLES is at the forefront of progressive thinking around public procurement across Europe, with this work a core component of our activities around community wealth building.
