Local Wealth Building and Future Arts Centres

CLES Chief Executive Neil McInroy recently met with Future Art Centres to discuss their role as anchors in local economic and place development.

Future Art Centres is a national coalition of leading UK art centres, and advocates for arts centres as place-making champions in local communities. Future Art Centres include Stratford Circus, Cambridge Junction and the (Finchley) artsdepot, and seeks to develop arts centres as robust social enterprises and models for community cohesion.

Neil said “Future Arts Centres do incredibly valuable work in putting arts centres at the heart of their communities. CLES believes that great places are made by anchor institutions who invest in building their communities, and we look forward to continuing our discussions.”
