CLES on… is a series of provocations, drawing on CLES’ thinking and doing experience over of thirty years of working to develop stronger local economics for people, planet and place.
CLES on…regeneration explores the challenges in previous and current iterations of regeneration practice and offers an alternative – a new paradigm for regeneration and developing local economies. The proposal is a wholesale recalibration of what it means to regenerate deprived localities, which will not be achieved by seeking to do more of the same. There can be no more papering over the cracks.
