Deprivation Indicators

This article outlines the work on the deprivation indicators prepared for the Index of Deprivation 2000 (ID 2000) and the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (Welsh IMD)1. These indices moved away from using census data to provide indicators and, instead, exploited new sources of information, such as administrative data and schools data.
