RAPID RESEARCH
28th January 2011.

This Rapid Research explores the Localism Bill from the perspective of local government. We issued a survey to senior local government practitioners to identify their thoughts upon the Bill and what it will mean for local government across the themes of planning, economic development and regeneration, front line public services, and big society. The overarching opinion of the piece is that the Localism Bill presents significant challenges for the representative, strategic and delivery role of local government.
