Our Regions, Our Choices

This policy report is the outcome of a CLES one-day seminar, Regions and regeneration: the impact of the Regional White Paper, held in Nottingham on 11 July 2002, where we began this process of exploration. A number of speakers presented, in some detail, their interpretation of the proposals and this report aims to capture the substance of what was presented on that day. Therefore, in this policy paper, we have assembled a number of writers who offer their own interpretation of the White Paper’s proposals, with the intention of imagining the likely outcomes from the White Paper.
