We collaborated with South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) to draft a new Community Wealth Building Framework which examines how to increase local economic, social and environmental benefits from renewable energy.
With generation from all types of renewables likely to grow significantly in the South of Scotland over the next decade, SOSE were keen to begin understanding what a community wealth building approach to developments would look like and how future renewable energy projects in the region could contribute more to local communities.
The result is a draft framework which uses the five pillars of Community Wealth Building to create a series of asks and recommendations.
