Wealth of Local Communities: How to keep money within the local economy?

The conference will explore what municipalities can do to keep money within the local economy. First-hand experiences and good practice from cities across Europe will be shared, and discussion and debate will centre on how municipalities can promote local wealth building.

Neil will discuss CLES’ work encouraging community wealth building in Preston and other cities across the UK, as well as work throughout Europe in the URBACT Procure network.

The other keynote speaker is Annet van Otteloo from Afrikaanderwijk Cooperative in Rotterdam. Annet will share her experiences strengthening the resilience of Rotterdam South through investing in active inhabitants and local businesses.

CLES CEO Neil McInroy is a keynote speaker at the Wealth of Local Communities conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 8th November.
