New report urges “turn social care into a major economic sector”

This report has been published as part of the Good City Economies project which is being delivered by CLES and the New Economics Foundation (NEF) and funded by the Friends Provident Foundation. It highlights the importance of the social care sector to the West Midlands economy now and into the future. It sets recommendations for the West Midlands Combined Authority, particularly to develop and prioritise new models of care and to develop new skills in the sector.
