Geraldine Brown is head of policy, development & public affairs at Stockton‑on‑Tees Borough Council, where she leads strategic policy development and major place‑shaping initiatives.

She previously headed economic strategy and policy at the Tees Valley Combined Authority, bringing extensive experience across local and regional government.

Her work focusses on promoting inclusive economic growth, reducing inequality, and guiding public service reform. Geraldine has led research and policy agendas that strengthen urban development, devolution, and strategic, place‑based partnerships.

Her specialist expertise spans local government, economic development, and the design of evidence‑driven strategies that support communities and stimulate resilient local economies.
