Paul Dennett

Trustee

Paul Dennett serves as a trustee of the Centre for Local Economies (CLES), where he brings extensive experience in local government, social policy, and economic inclusion. In this role, Dennett contributes strategic insight shaped by his background as Salford City Mayor and his role as GMCA deputy mayor where he was instrumental in delivering the Housing First Initiative and tackling homelessness.

As a trustee, nominated by Salford City Council,  he supports CLES’s mission to promote progressive local economic development and a more socially just economy. Dennett’s long-standing commitment to social issues – especially equality, financial inclusion, the real living wage, social value, anti-poverty work, and tackling the housing crisis – aligns closely with CLES’s values and strategic agenda.
