A good practice guide to maximising public value through procurement
This guide outlines how those who procure or commission goods and services can go further to maximise public value. It outlines four key decision points in the procurement and commissioning process and illustrates, with case studies, how places across the UK are forging ahead in public value excellence.
The guide is for anyone who procures or commissions, particularly within the public sector, including local authorities, those within the healthcare or education systems, devolved authorities including mayoral strategic authorities, the UK government and devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It will also be of use to suppliers of goods and services, and anyone who has an interest in ensuring that public money is spent so that it best serves the public good.
