The CLES manifesto for local economies, sets out our vision for how the next government should create local economies that serve the UK’s people, places and the planet.

In the manifesto CLES argues that this change cannot happen piecemeal, with imperfect devolution deals and regeneration plans. Comprehensive solutions must be delivered and we set out a 16-point plan, across four themes to deliver them:

  • Wealth
  • People power
  • Public services
  • Climate emergency
