Devolution offers the chance to tackle poverty and inequality by doing things differently – but current thinking may lead us towards the same mistakes, according to a new report by CLES.
The report details evidence on trends in health inequalities and flowing from this provides a set of recommendations – based on the root causes of health inequalities – for policies that can address social inequalities in health within the North and between the rest of England.
CLES is excited to be involved in a consortium in partnership with the Scottish Government to create a new toolkit for towns practitioners and communities. The work has been commissioned by the Scottish Government and follows the Trust’s contributions to the Town Centre Review.
